HOW TO PREVENT KIDNEY DISEASES: USEFUL TIPS.

More than 500 million people worldwide (about one in ten adults on the planet) suffer from various types of kidney disease, including urolithiasis, pyelonephritis, renal failure, and others.

The kidneys, functioning as a paired organ, play a vital role in the body by purifying the blood of various toxins, microbes, and infections.

The kidneys also regulate the body’s water-salt balance, regulating blood pressure, and facilitating the production of red blood cells. The extent of their responsibilities goes beyond what we often realize. Regrettably, we tend to underestimate the remarkable work performed by this vital organ.

Scientific and technological advancements have bestowed numerous advantages upon humanity; however, they have also transformed our way of life and eating habits, resulting in a deterioration of the Earth’s ecological conditions. The extensive use of chemicals in industry and agriculture has led to their accumulation in the soil and infiltration into groundwater, eventually finding their way into the food we consume and subsequently into our bodies. As a consequence, our kidneys are burdened with the task of managing this supplementary chemical load.

What plants provide kidney protection?

The use of plants possessing nephroprotective properties can be beneficial to enhance kidney function and protect them from potential harm caused by medications, pesticides, viruses, bacteria, toxins, radiation, and other factors.

Medicinal plants offer a significant benefit through their ability to exert a multifaceted impact on the kidneys. They have a rich assortment of natural compounds, encompassing diverse properties such as anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, antispasmodic, and immunostimulating effects. Also, medicinal plants, unlike chemicals, have thousands of years of experience in traditional medicine. This extensive history underscores their safety and suitability for long-term usage.

In previous editions, we have already introduced you to such plants as Boerhavia diffusa and Tribulus terrestris. Today we will continue to introduce you to these amazing plants and talk about their ability to protect the kidneys.

Boerhavia diffusa has long been used in traditional medicine in many countries: India, Africa, Southeast Asia, Australia. The local population consumes the herb’s delicate sprouts.

Punarnava, also known as Boerhavia diffusa, holds a position of great reverence in Ayurvedic medicine due to its numerous medicinal properties. This plant is highly esteemed in India for its diverse healing qualities. The term “punarnava” means “renewed one”. This term was given to the plant not by chance. Boerhavia diffusa is an excellent antioxidant and tonic, essentially serving as a “fountain of youth” for the entire body.

In conventional practice, Boerhavia diffusa has been traditionally recommended for alleviating swelling associated with kidney and heart dysfunction, as well as serving as an effective remedy for eliminating toxins.

Boerhavia diffusa contains natural biologically active substances that have anti-inflammatory properties, reduce blood sugar levels, protect the kidneys, and improve their functions in diabetes. This property is important in preventing frequent exacerbations of cystitis and other kidney diseases in patients with diabetes mellitus.

Tribulus terrestris. Since ancient times, this remarkable plant has garnered recognition. In ancient Greece, the plant was valued for its diuretic and tonic properties, while the ancient Indians used it as an antiseptic agent.

Currently, a wide range of tribulus-based remedies, intended for the treatment of the genitourinary system in both men and women, can be found in pharmacies.

Possessing strong antioxidant properties, Tribulus terrestris protects kidney tissue from damage by free radicals. The plant improves blood circulation and reduces tissue hypoxia. Due to these properties, Tribulus terrestris improves renal function in hypertension, diabetes, gout, radiation therapy, etc.

Another significant attribute of Tribulus terrestris that cannot be overlooked is its remarkable ability to eliminate kidney sand. Tribulus terrestris demonstrates exceptional efficacy, particularly in combating oxalate stones. Additionally, the mild diuretic properties of Tribulus terrestris help to eliminate existing small stones in the kidneys and ureters.

This is especially important for people who have a tendency to urolithiasis.

All of these, along with many other equally important components, are part of the Nokamen* plant and mineral complex.

Nokamen has multiple effects on the urinary system, including protection of the bladder and urinary tract, improvement of kidney function, and prevention of stone formation.

How to use Nokamen: adults should take 1-2 tablets twice daily after meals. Duration of use is 45-60 days.

In order to protect the bladder and urinary tract during seasonal exacerbations (spring, autumn), the duration of Nokamen should be increased to 3 months.

It is recommended to consult your doctor before taking the remedy.
